About
I believe Stoic wisdom offers a clear path through modern overwhelm.
Letters & a Stoic is my small sanctuary for applying ancient insight to the noisy, information‑heavy lives we lead.
I’m David — husband, father of three, generalist, and practising Stoic. I’m not here to lecture from a distance. I read, absorb, test, and share what works. My aim is simple: make Stoic principles accessible without sanding off their depth, and point you toward the benefits I’ve found in myself so you can find them in you.
You’ll meet Zeno, Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, and Epictetus, along with thoughtful modern interpreters. The core tenets haven’t changed, but sometimes a different voice unlocks a familiar idea. I hope mine does that for you.
This is a practice, not a pose. It isn’t quick. Repetition is key. As the inner world shifts, the outer world often follows. Here you’ll find weekly letters, curated resources, and contemplative exercises designed to help you live with more attention, calm, and courage — a bridge between the old texts and the demands of today.
Join me as we explore the art of living well, one deliberate decision at a time.
